Summary: Backed up floor system files, download data, removed precip gauge, install new software on PCs
| 21Jun01 07:00 arrive Vaira - pc is shut off -- appears Targus power converter for the pc has some form of failure during my absence -- possibly due to thermal shut down protection so replace pc battery to solve problem. -08:00 arrive Tonzi site - begin backing up floor system files and settings -- this pc had Windows 98 installed on PRIMARY DOS PARTITION which is different from all other pc's - perform manual download of all memory from all data loggers - delete primary DOS partition and install Windows 2k - remove precip gauge from orange exclosure and install on tower -- 23x within orange exclosure still contains precip output and is bogus from this point forward -- 23x on tower does not have precip output at this time - had problems installing Socket I/O software for com 3 that communicates with Campbell data loggers -- cannot install directly from CD. Must use control panel then add hardware and allow windows 2k to select proper *.INI file from CD rom -- ok now working correctly - achieve proper communications with first 4 data loggers and then achieve momentary communication with tower 23x then lose it -- now unable to communicate with any of the 5 data loggers - leave Tonzi site |
