I stripped off the old rotting insulation and then slid on a long continuous piece of heat shrink. I shrunk the whole length of the cable. I disassembled the data logging enclosure and kept only the data logger board and USB connector in the end cap. I cut off the twin 9V battery plugs and will power the sensor from solar connected rechargeable battery. |
