This 7500 had a lot of corrosion on the bottom base plate. Much of the anodized layer was flaking off. One of the plugs had a broken screw. I removed the base plate and removed the connector from the plate. I used a wire brush on the drill and a file to clean off the corrosion. Then I painted it with spray paint. It's ugly as heck but might last a bit better. I replaces the plugs with some plugs from and old 7500 base plate. I replaced the internal chemicals. They were a little hard but not as bad as they can be. |
